This privacy policy sets out what Sitework Journal holds about you, why it holds it, and how to get it changed or removed. Last reviewed 18 September 2026.
Data we hold
- Server logs. Our host and our CDN record standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics.
- Email addresses you give us voluntarily, when you contact us or subscribe to updates. We use them only for the purpose you gave them for.
- Analytics. We use three analytics tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics reports visits in aggregate; Cloudflare states it uses no client-side state such as cookies or localStorage, and does not fingerprint visitors. Ahrefs Web Analytics reports pages viewed, referrers, browser and device type, language, and country- and city-level location; Ahrefs states it is cookieless by default and does not store raw IP addresses. Google Analytics 4 runs only if you accept it in the notice shown on your first visit. It then sets two cookies, _ga and one beginning _ga_, which last up to two years and let Google recognise a returning browser. Decline or ignore the notice and no Google cookie is set and no request is made to Google. We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising trackers.
- Pitches and submitted material. Drafts, photographs, drawings and cost breakdowns you send us are kept with the correspondence, used only to assess and edit the piece, and never handed to the commercial side. We check site photographs for identifiable faces and plate numbers before we publish anything.
Cookies
This site uses functional cookies needed to serve pages securely, and cookies set by our CDN provider for security and performance. If you leave a comment or log in as a contributor, WordPress sets session cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work. If you accept Google Analytics, it sets the two cookies described above. Your choice is stored in this browser’s local storage, not in a cookie; clear this site’s data to be asked again.
Embedded content
Pages may embed third-party content such as video players or social posts. Those providers set their own cookies, and their own policies govern them.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@siteworkjournal.com and we will respond within 30 days.
