Advertising Disclosure

Sitework Journal takes advertising and paid partner content. Here is exactly how we mark it, so the line between reporting and paid placement is never something you have to guess at.

How we mark paid partner content

  • Firstly, a Partner content label on the article and on every card linking to it.
  • Secondly, a disclosure box at the top naming the company behind it, where they have agreed to that.
  • Thirdly, no presence in the editorial feed or the RSS feed.
  • Finally, outbound links that the site software marks rel="sponsored nofollow", not an editor remembering — so a search engine never reads one as our recommendation.

What we take

Partner content from companies working in construction — estimating, delivery, materials, safety, construction technology. Equally, it has to clear the same bar as editorial for accuracy and usefulness: a reader of this title has to plausibly want it.

What we turn down

  • Subjects this publication does not cover.
  • Gambling and casino, adult content, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis and CBD, cryptocurrency speculation, payday and other high-cost lending.
  • Performance, safety or compliance claims we cannot verify.
  • Adding a commercial mention to an article we have already published.
  • Running commercial material as independent editorial, or dropping any of the labelling above.

Who pays for this

Advertising and paid partner content fund Sitework Journal. We put that in writing because readers should know how a publication pays for itself. In addition, the editorial policy sets out the separation we keep.
