Corrections Policy

Everyone gets something wrong eventually. The question is whether the record shows it afterwards. Our corrections policy makes sure it does: dated, on the page.

How to flag an error

Email corrections@siteworkjournal.com with the URL, the passage and what is wrong. Send the evidence with it and it moves faster. We aim to reply within two working days.

What happens then

  • A factual error gets corrected in the text and a dated note at the foot of the piece setting out what changed.
  • A typo or layout fault that leaves the meaning intact simply gets fixed.
  • An error that changed the conclusion carries its note at the top, not buried at the bottom.
  • Removal is rare and reluctant. A correction leaves a record; an unexplained deletion removes one. We take pieces down only for legal or safety reasons.

What this corrections policy will not do

We do not soften or pull accurate reporting because a contractor, a manufacturer or their agency asked. Editorial is not for sale, at any price.
